Reading: I've just started The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling, and I've got Scarlett by Alexandra Ripley to read right after. I'm also currently blogging and catching up on the blogs I'm subscribed too and have been ignoring for a couple weeks. Fifty plus posts, and six left to go. Do Vogue and Twitter count? It's been a rough month.

Doing: I'm trying desperately to crawl out of an artistic slump. I'm trying to grown my hair as much as I can before December, when my mom will come visit and trim it for me like the wonderful woman she is. I look like I'm balding. Nope, just blonde. I'm also trying to find a way to de-clutter the dresser. I've got so many candles that they've taken over, and the amount of busy space is really unnerving me. Hide candles under the bed?

Feeling Thankful: I've got really supportive parents. It's something I don't think about a lot, but I'm a starvingartistwannabebartender, left home right after graduation, doesn't call very much daughter, and they are still incredibly supportive of pretty much everything I do. Not to mention, I think they're actually inside my head, and they're almost always one step ahead of me. Creepy.

Watching: Okay, I've been seriously keeping up with Nevermind The Buzzcocks (love), Sweat The Small Stuff (also love), and Celebrity Juice (ashamed but I love Fearne Cotton). Oh, and Ghost Adventures (not ashamed, but no Fearne Cotton). I've got the longest list of films to watch ASAP known to man, and I haven't looked at it in awhile. I really want to start American Horror Story: Coven, and Downton Abbey. When will that actually happen?

Working On: Again, let's talk about crawling out of a creative block. Wow. I have however, started a fox skull study. That's something, I guess. I've also been really wanting to work on embroidery. Actually, I want to make some collars and embroider them myself (oh-ho). I've got some black poster board and some chalk pastels, and I want to see what comes out of that.

Loving: My parents and brother have been sending me pictures of our dogs. The days are cooler, and I got to walk around a nursery, and enjoy all the plants. In the past week, my grandmother has taught me how to put shelves together, re-pot plants, and make a roast. Nicole gave me great advice the other day, that I have followed through with. Basically, mundane tasks and the few people I'm lucky to have in my life.

This post was inspired by Sometimes Sweet, and I think I might make it a regular Monday thing.
