Oh couture, how do I love thee?
I'm not sure if there's a solid theme with this season. I personally didn't really go in looking for one either. Couture is fun for me because I use the shows as inspiration. It's so fun to imagine wearing dramatic gowns and living somewhere I've never been. Actually, history could be a theme if anything. From chain mail at Dior to an homage to the early twentieth century at Ulyana Sergeenko and Yanina. There was a bit of a fantasy aspect to some of the shows as well. In many of my favorites below, the clothes are dark, the lips are bold, and the hair is perfectly placed. It's all very romantic, and that's why I love it (and the Fall/Winter months while we're on the topic). That is why couture always wins me over.
