Doodle Every Day
I mean, it's probably pretty obvious, but last week was a killer. I was dealing with a lot of personal family issues that honestly still haven't really been resolved. I was feeling pretty gray. After that (or during, I should say), I fell into a classic movie hole. I remembered that there are TVs in this house, along with cable and Turner Classic Movies. I've probably seen at least ten in the last week. I'm obsessed. Women from the Forties looked so glamorous all the time, but the role of women in a majority of the films I've recently watched is not one of a ditsy housewife, which would be expected of the time. Or so I thought. I've noticed a number of strong female roles, and that's probably a big reason I keep going back for more. Of course there are some things that are a bit uncomfortable to view in the 21st Century, but I think we all know that.
Anyway, I've also spent a lot of time adding to my personal sketchbook and browsing through cookbooks for new recipes. It's nice to use this post to see what all I've been up to throughout the last week or so. I feel like I haven't accomplished much at all, but I've actually been quite busy. Good. Also, all of the weak paper has been used, so hello better quality.
