Valentino Fall/Winter Couture '15

Valentino's Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli have done it again. The Fall/Winter Couture '15 collection was everything one could hope for. The backdrop (outside, in Rome, as the sun was setting) and the music were perfect accomplices, and the gowns, the gowns, I wish I could wear them all. Incredibly delicate with intricate details and shielded by the coziest looking capes and structured coats. Dark, sturdier gowns with incredible gold patterns. Gold gowns reminiscent of gladiators of a time gone by. Velvet gowns with matching capes. Velvet. The color scheme was black paired with jewel tones, which is personally what I live for. This collection has made me want to stow away in a castle somewhere cold (or somewhere in Italy) and spend my days exploring and painting, swathed in tulle and lace and velvet and capes. If only life really worked like that.

You can watch the show (very much recommended) here.

It was really difficult not to go ahead and post every photo, but you can see them all here.
