I didn't realize how horribly messy my hair is in this photo. I swear it's fine. It's movement. Anyway, it's been a minute since my last currently post (a little over three months), so I thought I'd do a little update. I've also only just realized how similar the photographs are. Wow, whoops!

Reading: I'm really ashamed, because outside of blogs, I haven't been reading much. I've strayed from books lately, because I haven't really had an opportunity to sit in silence with a book. I do read a ton of blogs though, and I've filled my Amazon wishlist with over 200 books. I fell into a hole one night.

Watching: I started rewatching Gilmore Girls. I haven't seen it in years, and I'm on season two, and I'm just rekindling the love. I've also been watching loads of old black and white films.

Doing: I've been painting a lot, like always, and I've been going through my oils. I've remembered that I hate oil paint a lot. I'm still going to use what I've got, but I really hate it. I've stocked up on my Christmas supplies, and I'm trying to sort out what to do to celebrate. By do I mean illustrate. I've also been listening to Christmas music already, and I'm brainstorming blog ideas for 2016.

Loving: It's my favorite time of year, and it's much easier to feel content. I love the crisp air and layering up. It's the first year I've ever struggled with the early nights, but I'm finally used to it, and I'm just really feeling pretty good you guys. It's nice.

What have you been up to?

  2. I'm also getting ready to get a bit festive, the christmas music started today! I'm thinking gingerbread and decoration shopping this weekend (so excited, first time I get to decorate my one place, and I'd like to say that all the decorations I buy now will be an investment for my life, haha). Gilmore Girls? Is this something I should be watching? I've heard about it before, but I don't think I really know what it's about..

    1. I think I need to listen to Christmas music after reading this! I've still got a week until I can go all out for the season, but a little preparation never hurt. Congrats on your own decor! That's really exciting! You should definitely be watching Gilmore Girls. It's about a mother and daughter in Connecticut, and it's highly entertaining. Check it out!

  8. No worries on the not reading front! I go through fits & starts too. If I'm reading a lot online, it kinda scratches that itch for me...you too?
I am enjoying historical books at the moment though: I have a non-fiction one written by Lucy Worsley called "If walls could talk" (SO GOOD, and in nice sections too), and a dramatised historical novel called The Other Queen by Phillipa Gregory (which I somehow managed to pick up from a flea market for only £2, signed!). They're both sitting beside my bed, and I don't read more than a few page a night, but it feels good. :)

As for the painting - it sounds lovely and I hope we'll get to catch a glimpse of them on your blog at some point! Sending you lots of wintery love. :)
