Sweater Chat

I think this week in posts is going to be a cozy one. Let's catch up and talk about what we love about this time of year.

Today I want to talk about sweaters. I've never met someone who didn't harbor a love for sweaters. This one above is new and old. I think I'm mentioned before that my mother and I sometimes swap clothes. She was going to get rid of this gorgeous work of art, but I swooped in and saved the day. Really though, how cozy does this look? I haven't actually had the chance to wear it yet, but it's finally getting cooler, and as I type this, I'm remembering that I need to move my sweater collection back to the front of my closet. That's exciting!

Back to this one. I'm assuming it's from Target, and the yarn almost bubbles. It's the sweetest color, and I'm still so in love. For a girl who wears quite a lot of black, it's a bit strange that most of my sweaters are some shade of oatmeal/light gray/etc.

While I'm here, I want to reiterate swapping clothes. It's a great idea when you have pieces you want to get rid of. I know that I'd much rather give something away than have it end up in a landfill. Give it a try some time. However, if you're looking to purchase a sweater or two, you can find some I've been eyeing up here, here, here, and here.

I hope Monday is treating you well.

  2. I can relate to wearing light colour knits, though I'm also a (secret) fan of fleeces and all of those are black. I love your close-up shots of this jumper by the way :)

  3. I really like grey knitwear. I think it looks amazing pair with black skinnies. I need to pick some more up to be honest because a lot of my knitwear has seen better days.

  4. I definitely have a soft spot for neutral colored knitwear. I think it brings some nice lightness to dark days. This sweater is gorgeous, and I love that you got it from your mother. I always love getting pieces from family. Not only is it like getting new clothes, but it's got some great sentimental value as well!

  7. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Not that this jumper is trash (far from it) but you get the idea ;) I love when my sister's having a clear-out and I find an array of things that I she no longer wants. It's the best feeling ever lol X
