A Quick Fix

I know. The lighting is rough. It's that time of year. The sun is unpredictable, and I've been looking for an excuse to post black and white photos. I think that's something I want to work with more next year. What do you think?

Once upon a time, I was a teenager with short, red hair that I curled every day. Now, I'm sort of an adult, with the same situation. Everything comes full circle, right? If any of you read my blog in early/mid 2014, you might remember multiple rough attempts at curling my hair (see here and here). For some reason, it's come much easier to me this time around. Though it's not exactly the same. This is a bit messier, and on purpose. I don't want it to look too uniform, but it still distracts from the fact that I just let it air dry. I want to give the illusion that I'm on top of things, but I'm not completely sure if it's working. Oh well. Luckily this time I've got a cut that actually looks pretty decent without styling anyway. It's a win-win for messy hair.

  2. A polished curl is always good in my book, especially as I find it so hard to achieve with my hair being so long. I really like yours styled in this way and to answer the question - 'yes!' to black and white photography :)

    1. I had that problem too, though I don't think my hair has ever been as long as yours (which is gorgeous by the way). Thank you Gabrielle!!

  7. Great pictures! Find it so hard to take photos indoors but the hard light from the window gave these a really cool effect!
