And so we've come to another "I can't afford most of these things, but they're gorgeous" post, and the last one of 2015 at that. Hello December.
Though heavy knits and oversized coats are a given for the upcoming cold months, I wanted to focus on things to wear underneath this month. It's a month for parties and family gatherings, and as I've already been to two of the latter, I can safely say that a coat isn't necessary when there's that much body heat.
I've fallen into a black hole of suits, and I can't get out. I don't want out. I want suits. Tailored (wide legged) trousers and oversized blazers, dressed down with a flimsy top, or made cozy with a chunky knit and a run-on sentence. I've also decided to look out for a thin turtleneck to layer under every non-turtleneck piece I own. Faux fur is a lot of fun this season, and I'm more than happy to jump on that bandwagon. I've been really into lingerie as streetwear. I remember that being a thing years ago, and I'm seeing it pop up again. Flimsy pieces are great for layering under sweaters and over trousers. The macrame dress is perfect for any occasion this month, and it could honestly carry anyone through Spring. Both pairs of shoes are flawless. The Gucci pumps are perfectly shiny and festive, and the Topshop pair are great for dressing up or down, and the heel doesn't seem to be too high. Every piece here would be perfect for Winter, and most pieces are pretty transitional, and could carry you through the next season as well.
See anything you like?
