Reading Wishlist

I fell into an Amazon hole (semi) recently, and I've got over two hundred books to covet. They range from biographies to fiction to graphic novels, and I think I need them all. Since I've just had a birthday, therefor starting another year alive (really, why don't we ever talk about birthdays being individual new years), I'm going to go ahead and talk about how I want to make more time for reading. I read a lot as it is, but I want to grow my book collection, and really make an effort to disconnect from the world for awhile every few days, and just read. I'm always using technology of some kind. Even when I illustrate or paint, I've usually got Spotify/a YouTube video/some show playing in the background. When I read however, I can't handle any distracting noises. It doesn't work. I think I need that. So in this new year of life, I want to read more. (Side note: I still want to watch as many movies as possible too, and I don't know how I'm ever going to balance this.)

Here are ten books from my Amazon wishlist. A small fraction of a giant mess. In no order:

Do you have any book recommendations? Would you like to see more of my wishlist?

I've been styling pieces with Yoins on Polyvore. You can check that out here.

  1. It's odd; I have a love affair with books but I read them on my phone, so I'm not too sure if that counts as disconnecting from the world.

    1. I do the same thing, but I'm still sometimes easily distracted by notifications. That's why I really want to start growing my physical book collection. Really though, it's just whatever works for you. Thanks for the comment May!

  2. Over 200 books to read?! Amber you're going to have one VERY busy year ahead haha! I find I spend so much time writing these days that I don't read as much as I used to, it's a pity.

    1. Ha! There's no way I'll ever get 200 books read next year, but I thought this list was a nice start. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the comment Gabrielle!
