The Replacement Boots

My beloved witch boots are no longer. They met their match last month with all of the holiday hustle and bustle, and there were too many holes to go on. So, as all of my other shoe options are sandals, I had to go out and hunt for boots on a serious budget. I originally set out for a pair similar to the pair I lost, but I couldn't seem to find anything anywhere. I tried these on as a last resort, and though they were far from what I was looking for, they were probably looking for me. Sure. But they work with any combination of clothing items I wear (i.e. ripped jeans or a maxi/mini dress), so why not? If I needed any further reassurance, the Dondup Pre-Fall '16 collection, the Roberto Cavalli Fall '16 Menswear collection, and the Philopsophy Pre-Fall '16 collection (also mentioned here hey) all feature women in feminine frocks paired with "masculine" shoes, and they're all killing it. So welcome to my wardrobe new boots.

I can't actually remember where I bought these. As I said, I was in the midst of holiday havoc, and I was Christmas shopping this day. I stopped at fifty different shops (a very mild exaggeration), and I somehow ended up with these. They were cheap, so they honestly probably won't last, and it was a blur. Below I've added some similar pairs I've come across that are just as great, and possibly better quality. If you're interested:

  1. a good pair of boots is so hard to find. i often check vintage shops, and eBay, though even those are getting over-shopped and sellers are charging a premium! i love the ones you found, and also your boot picks! especially the long lace-up ones x
