I used to make YouTube videos. I'm not sure if any of you read my blog when I did, but I did. I had a monthly, then bi-monthly video series, and I abandoned the project near the end of last Summer. There were a ton of intense personal things going on, and I just wasn't in the mood to try anything new with the videos, and they really did need something new. I love the format of the videos, and I love all the imperfections. I never set out to make YouTube videos that rivaled films. They were always meant to be a little sneak peak into different moments throughout the allotted time period, and that was that. However, after Summer ended and life was chaotic, I noticed that I was in the habit of filming the same scenes in each little video. Life is very monotonous sometimes (most of the time), and I realized that it was probably annoying. Though to be fair, I don't think anyone watched those videos.
I've been thinking about making videos again a lot lately, and though I still haven't brought myself to pick up the camera to film anything, it's still an idea floating around. Every blogger is doing YouTube now though, and my videos are nothing like those. I'm not sure what will happen with the channel, but I just can't get it off my mind these days.
