Spring Flowers

I understand that it's snowing and freezing in many places around the world right now, but I live in Texas, and Spring came pretty early this year. I'm completely out of Winter now, and it's time to talk about flowers. One of my favorite topics. Everything is starting to bloom, trees included (they only finally lost their leaves in January), and it's gorgeous. Of course, new blooms also mean new additions, including daffodils, hyacinth, and calla lilies.

These calla lilies are my favorite right now. They're interesting and colorful, and I just want to add more in every empty bit of my space. Honestly, I'm so in love with the way these pink flowers look.

I also use fake flowers, as you can see. I really only have them because my mother was going to throw them out when I was helping her revamp her master bathroom, so I had to rescue them, because I definitely can't afford to keep fresh flowers around all the time (though I wish I could). I'm on a budget y'all. That should be the tag line for this blog. Anyway, I also like to include little sticks and bits I find here and there, and I've already done a little post about recycling bottles as vases here. I've decided to take my terracotta pots out of storage and let them shine, though they're empty for the time being. And of course, the pièce de résistance, my little wall-hanging succulent, my only surviving indoor plant, my little baby. I love it, and it's sitting gloriously for Spring.

Are Spring flowers your thing?
