One Sketchbook, One Copic

As DEDIM was wrapping up, I found myself searching for another challenge to occupy my time until October. I'd also never experimented with Copic markers, though the hype has been everywhere for years, so naturally I was curious. Well, why not hit two birds with one stone? I've ended up with a pocket sized sketchbook and my first Copic marker, and I definitely get the hype now. I've challenged myself to fill this book with illustrations using nothing but Prismacolor pens and this one, single marker. There's no particular theme, so each page can be literally anything.

I'm enjoying it so much so far. Though it's been almost an entire month, I've only managed to finish the illustrations above, but I've got four more months. I'm pretty fond of them anyway. Challenge accepted.

I have to mention however, that as I'm writing this post on Sunday, I've just read about the horrendous tragedy in Florida. I am extremely saddened, and my deepest thoughts and condolences go out to everyone affected.

  1. I like your illustrations. You did great and I think those pens motivate you to sketch and enhance your drawing skills. :)
