A Makeup Novice Tries A Messy Autumnal Look

Hint: It really doesn't go well.

I think this is where I bid adieu to the makeup novice posts. They're hilarious for me, but I don't know how many time I can post my poor makeup attempts before they're just obnoxious. Regardless, I was inspired by this look I came across on Pinterest, and I highly overestimated my abilities with eye shadow. This could probably still work though, if I felt particularly bold and dramatic. Who knows? A single burnt orange, blended out with my finger, kind of works with blue velvet. I hate this less the more I see it.

  3. Not a bad first attempt, I love that shade of orange. The original look is very bold so maybe it needs a little more blending for real life.

  4. I genuinely love the colour contrast between the burnt orange eyeshadow and bold blue velvet! As you've said, I think for a dramatic moment this works very well indeed ;)
