Out Of My Element

















I am temporarily out of my element, in another space, and I'm trying to figure out how to work it. I'm staying on my grandparents' mini farm for a couple of weeks, and it's bittersweet. I'm a homebody, and I miss my own home, and my dogs, and my bed, but the animals and leaf-shedding trees are pretty cool. Some of these leaves are actually bigger than my head, and I've been gathering fallen pecans whenever I need a little work break. Change is a good challenge for the creative process, and I think I'm working through it pretty well. The Autumnal feeling in the air doesn't hurt either. All that's missing is another Harry Potter marathon.

I'll find a better way to frame these photos in the next one.

  2. I'm a total homebody as well - I really can't wait to get home on most days, even when I'm out having a good time somewhere. Nice way to make use of the change in scenery.
