It's been a moment since I posted one of these, so why not start the year off with one?

Reading: I received the screenplay of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them for Christmas, but I've only been able to make a small dent into it. It's partially because of time, and partially because I don't want to read it too quickly. Say what you want about JK Rowling "milking the cash cow." I'm personally pretty excited about the wizarding world expanding. I'll take all I can get!

Watching: I've started this year like the last few; by watching an excessive amount of old films. I'm watching one as I type this called "Dames." It's from 1934, and it's bizarre. At the moment, someone has hiccups, and they're acting like he's having a heart attack, and a woman looks just like Olive Oyl, dress and all. What were the thirties? This movie is honestly pretty bad.

Doing: I mentioned earlier this month that I've been delving back into abstract paintings. It's honestly so fulfilling, and I'm happy with what I've painted so far. I'm wishing I could paint on a much larger scale again. I think that's a goal for this year. Honestly, I'm in a state of planning. At least in this very moment. I'm thinking about what I need to do for next week's posts, and I'm thinking about the drying paint a few feet to my right, and I'm thinking that this house is incredibly quiet. I can hear the traffic from the highway outside of town. That probably says a lot about where I live. A quiet little truck stop town, but it's lovely. I'm rambling.

Loving: I've been listening to rain for days, and two of my dogs have been hanging out in sweaters. Belle is going through a phase where she has to be touching me at all times, and I don't mind. I just want to cuddle her all the time. My life practically revolves around my dogs, and I'm perfectly okay with the fact. I swear I always use this part of these posts to talk about my dogs. Sorry, not sorry?

What have you been up to lately?

*Note: My internet crashed before I finished the movie, and I didn't bother pulling it up again. Wasn't worth it.

  2. Hahah I don't mind that you bring up the dogs though. I can completely relate, my life is all about my cat atm. Haha, I just always analyze what he's up to, how he changes his routines etc. The last couple of days he's been waking me up at 5 am because he's bored. How annoying can one be? I'd prefer to have a dog that want's to cuddle these days haha! Xx

    1. I'm the same way! My dog is 14, so I have to carefully plan out when I let her outside at night, or she'll wake me up at four am to go out. Although, she definitely has a history of waking me up in the middle of the night because she's bored.

  3. Get it girl! It's takes some major effort to get back into art, but the first step is wanting to! I can't wait to see what you do with your year =)
