Daily March Illustrations

Leave it to me to have an artistic breakdown the first week of a monthly challenge. I did that. I almost didn't post these illustrations, but after spending all of my night on finishing line-work, sitting next to my growing plants and a window that the crickets tend to favor, I feel a lot better. It was a cathartic process, and one that was greatly needed.

But really, are the crickets attracted to the light from my window? What's the deal? I'm not mad, I just want to know.

So here's the plan for March: I'm doing an illustration for every day, and I'm posting them every Tuesday. This week has been full of escapism via cherry sours and Harry Potter. There's a lot of sadness and tension around here, and I hope you'll respect that I don't want to talk about it just yet. That's where the escapism comes in though, and the long nights are back in time for Spring. I do love a good Spring/Summer night. I'll stop being vague eventually, but I want to be able to word what's going on properly, if at all. I'll just stop now.

Anyway... Daily illustrations! Woo!

  3. I love your illustrations. They feel like such bursts of sunshine, even if life is anything but. I love this practice of daily doodles. I have a "sentence a day" book that I still manage to fail miserably at every week. I need to have more discipline

    1. Thank you Sonia, that really means a lot! A sentence a day sounds lovely. Maybe try to set aside a moment every day to make it a routine?
