I've hated lotion as long as I can remember. I'm not even joking. I had the worst dry skin as a teenager because I refused to lotion up. However, when my skin started breaking out into a massive eczema patch last year, I had to find a moisture alternative.
I began with baby oil, which was highly recommended by my mother. I cover myself in it after every shower, and it's been incredibly helpful eczema wise. I was tired of going through too much facial moisturizer by last Summer, so I thought it was finally time to try jojoba oil. I swear by it now, and though I still have acne troubles, the skin on my face hasn't been this nice in years. I started using coconut oil on my body just last month, but it's wonderful for touch-ups if needed throughout the day. Anytime I feel a hot spot flaring up, I cover it with a bit of coconut oil, and it's worked for me so far.
I can't even imagine using lotions anymore. In fact, I recently tried one, and my skin felt heavy and disgusting. Oil is really where it's at, at least for my skin. If you've been curious about switching, I'd really recommend trying it out.
