Alternatively titled: "I Didn't Know My Pocket Was Inside-out the Entire Time." How did I not notice that?
I hope your week so far has gone well. I've been happily satisfied with my own. I know Monday's post was quite the downer, but a lot can happen in a couple days, and I'm feeling much stronger. I hope this feeling continues.
As I mentioned before, I'm operating at night these days, and this specific night has been peaceful. I've made roasted chickpeas for my mother and meditated under the moonlight. The flower moon is tonight (May 10!), and the sky currently has a pink tinge to it. I hope that's easy to follow. I'm confusing myself and everyone I know in regards to my days and nights. I'll get the hang of it.
The entire theme for this post was a happy accident throughout a single day. I took the self portraits with the sunrise, and allowed myself to shoot the first thing I pulled out of my closet, which happened to be a spotted dress. I'm not entirely sure if this dress is meant for daytime wear or sleeping. I wore it on a grocery store run once, and I was so uncomfortable.
Anyway, I went outside during the following sunset with the intent to photograph these lavender petunias, and this little dotted bug popped up out of nowhere. A quick Google search has taught me that said bug is a cucumber beetle; harmful to garden vegetables, but not so much to these flowers. All is well.
Honestly, I'm really making an effort to learn more about the insects in my backyard, instead of fleeing the second I see them. I love my plants dearly, so I might as well learn to love the bugs, right?
What have you been up to this week?
