Things to Do When Missing Autumn

Whoops, I'm sort-of mentioning my dislike for Summer again.

I've been missing Autumn something fierce lately, so I've been indulging in a few things that remind me of the season. The recent week of rain definitely helped. I thought I'd try to share the mood I've been in.

In times of Autumnal longing, I tend to indulge in watching various Halloween-ish films (i.e. anything Tim Burton, anything vampire, and anything silly and childish like Hotel Transylvania, no actual horror for me, thanks) and Vlogmas' from my favorite YouTubers. I'll wear something jewel toned. I might even listen to the occasional Christmas song.

One thing I haven't done yet, but I'm sure to begin soon, is to start planning the holiday season out. Listing out decor plans, gift ideas, party ideas, etc, can never be done too soon. It's nice to be prepared.

The key is not overdoing it too early in the year. Indulge a little bit for a few days if you need to, but don't live the entire year like it's the Holiday season, as strong as the temptation may be. That's how you keep the magic thriving when the season actually arrives.

Luckily, it's only a few months away now!
