Gathered

Last week I wrote about how I was having a lot of travel anxiety though I wasn't actually very far from home. Though I'm a little irritated with myself for using this space to whine again, I was just being honest. It was a rough week for this sensitive baby. However, I tried to carry over a couple of my home routines to make myself feel a little better.

One of my favorite hobbies is walking around my yard/garden/plants, and gathering bits and pieces to press or display, among other things. I did so at not-my-house last week. This yard was full of trees and plants, and though the late Summer sun has been doing the most, there was much more green than brown.

I gathered a few flowers and plenty of leaves. Pecans were even starting to fall, which reminded me of the acorns soon to fall from my own trees. I can't wait! I have so many plans y'all.

It's the little things, you know?

  1. It felt so relaxing to watch these photos :)! Loved the small pops of color and pressing flowers and leaves reminded me of a project we had to do in school for biology. It was nice being reminded of childhood. Hope you feel better now. Wishing you a great week ahead! x

  2. Oh that's a lovely thing to do though, to do things you usually do home to make it feel better. If I'm somewhere alone, or in a new place I always make sure, how silly it sounds, to have some chocolate and tea. Cause that's what I always have when I'm home, so it's definitely the small things that makes the difference! These photos are lovely Amber and exiciting with the fall plans for pressing flowers. Looking forward to get some inspo! Have a lovely week babe! Xx

  4. I hate to hear you call yourself a 'sensitive baby' Amber, you're allowed to feel anxious! And even better that you've discovered ways/things that help you feel a little better :) The garden of the house you spent last week at sounds beautiful, by the way!
