Vanity Planet Review PT.1 - Vitagoods Essential Oil

Ah, essential oil. I've really fallen in love with various natural oils, and I've easily started collection/hoarding some. I recently had the chance to check out a couple of products from Vanity Planet, and I immediately knew I had to get my hands on an essential oil I'd never tried before: bergamot.

In general, it's a pretty flawless product. I'd definitely look back to Vanity Planet/the brand's own website to try others, depending on availability and selection, etc. The scent is strong and long lasting. The bottle has a little built in dropper, and the packaging is pretty chic. I honestly have no complaints.

Bergamot is a citrus-like scent, yes, but I personally think it's a perfect transitional scent. I tend to smell a bit of spice; like the perfect meeting point between Summer and Autumn. That's basically what this month/time of year is anyway, so the oil is very fitting.

Essential oils can be used in a number of ways. I've let a few (or more) drops mix in with warm candle wax, which was gorgeous, I'm telling you. Bergamot is meant to be a very calming scent, and when used with the right intent, can serve as a mood booster and sooth a restless mind. I'd previously read that inhaling the scent before sleep can encourage a peaceful night's rest. I definitely needed that a few days ago, and it was a lovely scent to fall asleep to.

Of course, you can also use the essential oil in a number of alternative ways, including in a diffuser, which Vanity Planet also sells.

You can find this particular oil here. Are you into essential oils? Let's chat!

PS: I want to note that I have not been paid to write this post, nor part two. These opinions are honest and purely my own. I picked out two very different products to review, and I wanted each to have a spotlight, so part two will be up on Friday.

  1. Isn't bergamot what's in Earl Grey tea? If so, I definitely like that scent!

  2. I haven't tried it, but I would surely like it if it's citrusy and has a hint of spices.
