I'm currently in the midst of a holiday weekend over here, so today's post will be short and sweet.
I was looking through some old accessories I have stored away, when I came across this long statement necklace. I haven't worn it in years, but I obviously kept it for a reason. Though this piece wasn't what I was looking for (i.e. a pearl in a cage on a thin gold chain that I never did actually find), I immediately thought of a way to repurpose the item.
Actually, my first thought was to use it as a belt, but my waist isn't back down to the size I'd like, so it doesn't fit. My second thought was to wrap the chain around my neck like a choker, and I think it looked pretty alright. I could see myself breaking it out to break up a dull look in the future.
I wanted to share this little anecdote to hopefully inspire you to look through some older parts of your wardrobe and find something of your own to repurpose and/or give new life to. Let me know if you do!
