Trying to Save a Succulent
This plant lady is on the comeback.
After planting some seeds last week (that are already growing so much!), I decided it was time to re-pot my lone succulent child. I received a handmade mason jar wall hanging from my brother's little family for Christmas, and though I've been using it for art supply storage, its real intent is for plants. However, when I tried to remove the succulent from the old planter, I realized it had extreme root rot, and was on the verge of death. Good timing, wouldn't you say?
I'm attempting to save the plant while I can, which is something I haven't tried to do before. I've always cut my losses in the past, but I'm really trying to further my green thumb abilities. I'm not sure if I was correct, but I simply pulled off the dead leaves on the bottom, and placed the stem pretty far into the soil in my jar. I also made sure to give the new plant home plenty of water. There's nothing I can do now but wait, I think. We'll see. I'll keep you updated. At least this little baby has a new home on my wall. One down, two more space to fill. I need more plants!
